By high school he had branched out into Rubik&#8217;s Cube magic and stage magic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In magic you have everything from close-up tricks like cards, coins and other everyday objects you can borrow from people, through to big stage illusions like making people appear and disappear or cutting people in half,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_123538\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-123538\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-123538\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2026\/03\/MagicianAidenSchofie_46616.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-123538\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aiden Schofield is bringing his magic show Trivial Trickery to the Northern Rivers. In this show I make some things float and do a few tricks like mind-reading and one with confetti, which is a cool one.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I just love magic and people seem to like it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When he&#8217;s not performing, the 25-year-old works as a stagehand, helping set up concerts in Brisbane for artists such as English singer Ed Sheeran when he toured the city earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Schofield also enjoys watching other magicians perform whenever he can, travelling to events such as the Adelaide Fringe and the Melbourne Magic Festival.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_123539\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-123539\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-123539\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2026\/03\/AidenSchofieldmusici_50256.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-123539\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Magician Aiden Schofield. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s interesting seeing how different magicians put on shows,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Some are very theatrical and have lots of music, while others don&#8217;t have any at all.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He said it is relatively rare for magicians to perform public shows outside of corporate functions and private events such as birthday parties.<\/p>\n<p>While his upcoming Northern Rivers Trivial Trickery shows are taking place during the school holidays, Schofield said the performance isn&#8217;t aimed specifically at children.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_123540\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-123540\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-123540\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2026\/03\/MagicianAidenSchofie_59397.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"482\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-123540\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Magician Aiden Schofield with a Rubik&#8217;s Cube.
