A man has died after an alleged assault in Murwillumbah, with police continuing investigations into the incident.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to a home on Bellevue Avenue, Bray Park at about 4.30am on April 8 following reports of a man acting suspiciously.<\/p>\n

Officers from Tweed\/Byron Police Area Command attended and found a 34-year-old man with serious injuries after he had been detained by two men on the footpath.<\/p>\n

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him to Gold Coast Hospital in a critical condition.<\/p>\n

A crime scene was established and detectives commenced an investigation under Strike Force Raison.<\/p>\n

Police have since been notified the 34-year-old man died in hospital on April 10.<\/p>\n

Investigations under Strike Force Raison are ongoing.<\/p>\n
