A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Armstrong Creek in the early hours of this morning.
Detectives are investigating the stabbing, which police said took place during a fight between two men in the backyard of a house on Falcon Street at about 3.50am.
Police said a 22-year-old man from Grovedale sustained multiple stab wounds before fleeing the property and seeking assistance at a house in nearby Spoonbill Drive.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics responded to the incident at about 4.15am.
Advanced Life Support and Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance paramedics assessed and treated a man with upper body injuries.
The injured man was transported by road ambulance to hospital in a stable condition.
