EXPRESSIONS of interest are open for a series of creative opportunities within Ballarat.

As a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art, the City of Ballarat has a range of experiences on offer to creatives.

Eight artists will have the chance to develop their skills at the Centre for Projection Art and a temporary 3D or sculptural artwork is being sought for the already constructed empty plinth in the new Intercultural Garden.

The work should include global contemporary issues within a local context and be mindful diverse garden users.

Seedpod will be running for its third year, providing a residency opportunity with regionally based live arts company Punctum.

Applications are also being considered for artists who would like to showcase their work at Unicorn Lane in 2026.

City of Ballarat mayor Cr Tracey Hargreaves said it was critical to support creative projects within Ballarat.

“It is creative thinking that helps all sectors to bloom, and underpins a healthier, happier and wealthier city.”
