RMIT trained designer Caitlin Perry crafts bespoke spaces with natural palettes in the Ballarat region and Melbourne.

Interior designer Caitlin Perry returns to Ballarat with her unique and tailored creations, that include work on the renowned Garden of the Grieving Mother Memorial beside the Arch of Victory.

SETSQUARE Studio is an award-winning interior design company, who craft bespoke spaces which marry natural palettes with splashes of colour; mastering light, texture and inventive use of space.

Setsquare Studio specialise in residential floorplan analysis, boutique kitchens and bathrooms, custom design of joinery and selection of fixture and finishing palettes.

Originally from Ballarat, director Caitlin Perry has been practising in the design field since graduating from RMIT in 2003.

She initially practiced within the discipline of landscape architecture before transitioning into interior design.

Caitlin worked at several of Melbourne’s boutique architecture and interior design firms, prior to establishing Setsquare Studio in 2014.

Caitlin was part of the team that created the iconic Garden of the Grieving Mother Memorial.

In 2016, Setsquare Studio collaborated with landscape architect Tom Harper and renowned sculptor Peter Corlet to design the Garden of the Grieving Mother Memorial, within the historic Arch of Victory Precinct in Ballarat.

This project has become a significant Victorian attraction and was awarded the 2017 Heritage Award for New Work or Development within a Heritage Area.

In addition to this award, Setsquare Studio was the 2016 runner up in the Dulux Colour Awards and a finalist in the Workspace and Hospitality categories in the 2019 awards.

Setsquare Studio is firmly establishing itself within the broader design industry, with projects in publications including Artichoke Magazine, The Design Files, Broadsheet and Yellowtrace, and a strong presence on Instagram and Pinterest.

The studio has boutique residential projects in construction within the greater Ballarat region and Melbourne.

A multi-million dollar bathhouse and wellness centre in Collingwood, set to open mid-year, is the studio’s current largest project.

Caitlin and Setsquare Studio have recently relocated back to the Ballarat region and are renovating a rural property into an off-grid sustainable homestead and studio.
