Loreto: proudly educating young women

May 19, 2021 BY

Loreto’s campus beside Lake Wendouree is getting some major additions that will further enhance the institution’s offerings.

Loreto College Ballarat was the first of the Loreto Schools in Australia and has been proudly educating young women for almost one-hundred and fifty years.

Part of a global network of Loreto and Mary Ward international schools, Loreto College is an innovative contemporary girls’ secondary school set in historic and beautiful surrounds with exciting future extension plans, aligned to the growing demand for Catholic education and the significant growth of the Ballarat region.

Loreto College is very proud of its Catholic heritage, education facilities and student wellbeing program and aims to continue to enhance the learning environment this year through the design and development of a dedicated Wellbeing Precinct and Sensory Garden.

The Wellbeing Precinct will include the counselling team, learning hub and learning support staff as well as the innovative Sensory Garden. The renovated area builds on the College’s current physical surrounds and takes a proactive approach to providing and supporting student wellbeing.

The Sensory Garden will be an architecturally designed space for students in need, or any student who will benefit from a quiet, reflective space.

Loreto College is proud to be an all-girls Catholic college that is inclusive of all learners and develops future ready students able to thrive in a changing world.

With exciting plans for an extension campus in the coming years, current and future students will benefit from purpose built, spacious facilities that will further enhance the educational offerings of the school.

Loreto College is part of the wider Catholic education community and very proud of the support we provide to meet to the educational needs of our students, our community and our region.
