FOOD, fun, games, and entertainment is bringing excitement to Lucas Display Village during a series of Great Big Challenge days, starting Sunday, 14 August.

Families can explore more than 30 display homes between 12pm to 5pm, and enjoy the roving talents of band Ballahornication, Bubble man Dr Hubble and circus performer Sam Starr.

Kids can get their faces painted, families can grab a feed at a food truck, play an outdoor game, or pick up some giveaways.

But the Great Big Boost Juice Challenge is shaking up to be the big drawcard, with Boost van staff tasked with serving as many free juices as they can in 60 minutes, from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

Sales agent Chris Gladman said the Integra team looks forward to welcoming new families to the area.

“We’re really excited to draw people up to the village to discover the lifestyle, generate support for our local builders, and offer families some inspiration if they’re taking the step towards buying a new home,” he said.

“Our event this month, and those coming up in spring, will be good fun with a friendly, family atmosphere.”

Roving performers will include Bubble man Dr Hubble, circus performer Sam Starr, and local band Ballahornication.

On Sunday, 11 September, and Sunday, 16 October, there will be two more Great Big Challenge days at Lucas Display Village.

The Great Big Tim’s Toasty Challenge in September will run from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, with former MasterChef contestant Tim Bone put to the test, cooking up as many toasties as he can for members of the public for free within the hour.

Then in October will come the Great Big Hippy Whippy Challenge, running within the same time frame. Jodi and her team will serve as many ice cream cones to attendees as possible for free.

“We are hopeful that the events over the coming months at Lucas will allow us to connect with Ballarat locals who are looking to start their new home building journey,” said a spokesperson from Homebuyers Centre and Boutique Homes.

“We can’t wait to showcase our products to the community,”

Metricon Homes, Dennis Family Homes, McMaster Homes, Hudson Ridge Builders, Simonds Homes, Hearty Homes, Highmark Homes, 5AB Homes, Burbank Homes, Langdon Building, Twomey Homes, JG King Homes, GJ Gardiner Homes, Hotondo Homes, and Chatham Homes are also part of the village.

Come along, roam around Lucas, and discover village life!
