Playtime books in our Ballarat store

It’s Children’s Week 2021 between Saturday, 23 and Sunday, 31 October!

The Independent Bookstore in Ballarat will be running some great promotions to support the extended reading opportunities of its wonderful collection of Playtime books by new Australian authors who are keen to be discovered during this time by your children.

We will be running events online and offline for kids to be involved and parents to support children around Ballarat.

The Independent Bookstores colouring competition will kick off, with pictures and colouring pages available in store and online at our website – shawlinepublishing.com.au – with entries to be dropped off at our shop.

Winners will be announced and displayed online and in store on the 30 October.

The winner will receive wonderful prizes, that is for sure, and with something special for the runners up and special mentions, every child may have a chance to win.

Parents who purchase any of our brilliant children’s books will receive a 15 per cent discount and a chance to go into the draw to WIN a share of a $500 cash prize, see website for details.

We also have some wonderful bonus products for mum and dad to enjoy, such as a selection of beautiful candles and bowls.

Children’s Week is a fantastic time to support kid’s learning and reading and the Independent Bookstore value the community of supporters who love children’s books but also enjoy discovering new Australian author talents.

So come into the store and get yourself a book and a colouring sheet for the competition or download online and buy a book to go in the draw for a chance to win and enjoy Children’s Week for 2021.

The theme for Children’s Week 2020-21 is ‘Children have the right to choose their friends and safely connect with others’ and is drawn from Article 15 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

During Children’s Week, councils, not-for-profit organisations, schools and early childhood services organise open days, displays, special events, virtual spaces and online-based activities. These celebrate childhood and showcase children’s achievements.
