Rejoice Groovers – your local is back at Delacombe Town Centre!

February 6, 2020 BY

Café by day, casual dining at night. The Groove Train is perfect anytime.

Their loyal customers are happily referred to as ‘Groovers’ and they keep coming back for good food served with Groove, a great vibe and their Australian/Mediterranean menu.

The Groove Train is back and now you can experience the Australian/Mediterranean inspired menu at Delacombe Town Centre.

THE Groove Train disappeared from the Ballarat food scene back in 2019 but reopened in January at Delacombe Town Centre with new owners, plus experienced hospitality venue manager Chris Welsh leading the local team.

“Delacombe locals can expect outstanding food and service when they come to see us here at the Groove Train Delacombe Town Centre,” Chris said.

“We’re very family friendly with a menu to suit everyone including kids, those with specific dietary requirements, as well as a special vegan menu.”

“We have some really popular menu items that people keep coming back for. The salt and pepper calamari is to die for! It’s one of the most popular dishes on the menu and is tender, tasty and just mouth-watering.”

“If I had to pick a personal favour however, it would have to be the BBQ meat-lovers pizza,” Chris added.

For those who haven’t yet got into the Groove, the restaurant’s style is one of a vibrant café by day that then transforms into a casual restaurant and bar of an evening. The Groove Train is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Groove Train Delacombe Town Centre employs 15 Ballarat locals and they pride themselves on carefully sourcing ingredients from local farmers and growers for unbeatable flavour.

Functions are specialty with packages to suit any occasion.

Functions are also a Groove Train specialty with the team offering a range of unique spaces plus planning and coordination support for their guests’ next party, celebration, corporate event or get together. They have function packages available to suit everyone plus vast menu option choices to choose from.

Delacombe Town Centre’s Manager, Garrath Holdstock said welcoming The Groove Train back to the community was an exciting development.

“The Groove Train offering is one that is very popular to our shoppers.

“The versatility of Groove Train fits perfectly with other DTC retailers. People are able to have dinner, followed by a movie next door at Showbiz Cinemas; grab coffee and cake after a massage or haircut; or there is always the option of lunch before doing the groceries,” Mr Holdstock said.

To celebrate their return to Delacombe Town Centre, The Groove Train are also offering those who sign-up as a Groove Club member before Sunday, 9 February the chance to win one of three VIP Dining Packages, with details available via their website or in the restaurant.
