A-League back in Ballarat

WESTERN United will host Sydney FC at Mars Stadium this Saturday, with the clash billed as the third and final game in Ballarat this season.

With only a few games left before the finals, places are still up for grabs and Western United CEO Chris Pehlivanis is anticipating a great challenge.

“It’s always a fantastic atmosphere when we go to Ballarat. The fans there really get behind us and create a lot of noise in the stands,” he said.

“We are looking forward to welcoming the reigning champions Sydney FC to what should be a great game in the lead-up to finals.”

The match at Mars Stadium is Western’s first home match in four games and the hosts are looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 5-0 loss at the hands of Western Sydney Wanderers.

Ballarat fans have the opportunity to see the Green and Black’s finest in Alessandro Diamanti, while Adam Le Fondre makes his return for the Sky Blues.

Tickets are on sale via Ticketek for a special price of $10, with general admission including access to the new Mars Stadium terracing.
