SOVEREIGN Hill’s new multisensory sound and light show, Aura, will make its debut performance on Friday, 8 February.

The stage is set, bringing the Eureka Rebellion back to life, and features detailed historical sets and state-of-the-art projections that place viewers at the centre.

Following July’s closure of beloved 25-year-old sound and light blockbuster, Blood on the Southern Cross, Sovereign Hill assures audiences they certainly won’t be leaving the show despondent.

Visitors of all ages will travel through the story of gold – its discovery and the ways in which the precious metal revolutionised Australia.

Sovereign Hill’s CEO, Professor Terry Lloyd said anticipation and excitement has been building and Aura will exceed the public’s expectations.

“It’s truly an incredible piece of work… an immersive storytelling experience,” he said.

“The show has been a creative labour of love for the teams working on it, and we look forward to presenting it to our visitors.”

The development of Aura has been a collaborative effort. Accolad – the group behind White Night – and Sovereign Hill’s historical experts have put their heads together to produce it.

The show was originally expected to open on Boxing day, 2018, but the February launch has allowed for further creative adjustments, so Aura can be at its best.
