Australia Day Picnic inthe Park at Victoria Park

AUSTRALIA Day Picnic in the Park returns to Victoria Park for its fifth year, offering a relaxed way for the community to come together and spend a summer afternoon in one of Ballarat’s familiar green spaces.

Held on Monday 26 January from 11am to 3pm, the free community event is the perfect excuse to roll out the picnic rug, grab some snacks and soak up the sunshine. Or you can follow your nose to the local food trucks and let someone else take care of lunch!

A community market with more than 30 stallholders will be spread throughout the park, offering handmade goods and local produce. It’s a great chance to wander, have a chat with the makers, and support local businesses.

Adding to the summer vibes, local acoustic artists will perform throughout the afternoon while you kick back in the sun.

For families, there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained too, with mini golf, face painting, lawn games and a beanbag lounge area.

Australia Day Picnic in the Park is a free, inclusive community event. Bring your friends, bring your family and enjoy the park.
