Coaching, teams and leadership forum to launch collective
SPORTS Central and FedUni WestVic Academy of Sport are teaming up to host as insightful evening on coaching, teams, leadership, resilience and mental health.
The launch night of a new Central Highlands Coaches Collective will bring together current and aspiring coaches and leaders from the region, giving them the opportunity to hear from Australian legends of their sporting fields.
The panel will feature renowned Olympian and chief executive officer of the Victorian Institute of Sport Nicole Livingstone, Paralympic Australian wheelchair rugbyathlete Brad Dubberley and AFL premiership coach Mick Malthouse, hosted by Federation University’s head of exercise and sports science Rob Aughey.

Sports Central executive manager Michael Flynn said the collective would encourage participation and leadership through sport.
“This event captures the very essence of what Sports Central is all about: supporting all clubs and associations across the Central Highlands to be the best they can be,” he said.
“Our Central Highlands community are warmly invited to come together to gather inspiration from the greats.”
FedUni WestVic Academy of Sport chief executive officer Scott Allison echoed his excitement.

“The launch will be just the beginning of what is planned to be an ongoing opportunity for our region’s sporting network to learn and grow together,” he said.
“By bringing legends of sport to our region, we hope to inspire, motivate and empower our Central Highlands’ sporting leaders, now and into the future.”
The 22 July event at the Geoffrey Blainey Auditorium, Building C, Federation University Mount Helen Campus is free to attend, however bookings are essential due to limited seating. Bookings can be made at shorturl.at/23IMi
