ORGANISERS of this year’s Clunes Show have announced that the 2020 event has been cancelled.

The Show was set for Saturday, 21 November, however due to ongoing concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic, the Clunes and District Agricultural Society has called the event off.

“We are an active and long-standing volunteer committee with over 65 members and are disappointed that we cannot hold what was due to be the 160th Clunes Show,” organisers said in a statement.

“We would like to thank all our sponsors, exhibitors, patrons, stewards and judges for their ongoing support.

“Additionally, thanks to the large number of other members of the Clunes community whose contribution is critical to making each show a success.”

While this year’s event isn’t going ahead, a date for the 2021 Clunes Show has been set. It’ll run on Saturday, 20 November next year.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our 160th Show… and will be aiming for the ‘Best Show Ever’,” organisers said.
