ONE too many handbags hanging out in the back of the wardrobe?

It’s in the Bag Christmas Appeal, launched by Ballarat Share the Dignity in partnership with Bunnings, will give the bags a new home.

To support this worthy cause, take the bag or backpack and fill it with essentials and goodies which will make a difference to those experiencing homelessness, domestic violence or period poverty.

The campaign aims to help women and girls who need some extra care, attention and dignity over the festive season.

Pads, tampons, roll-on deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and soap are the essentials.

The likes of lip balm, perfume, scrunchies, new socks and a magazine are the luxuries.

Drop in a note or a card to show that someone cares and that they matter.

Take it to both Bunnings stores where volunteers will collect and distribute to charities and shelters.

It’s in the Bag Christmas Appeal runs from Friday, 22 November until Saturday, 7 December.
