Forthcoming mental health forum

September 11, 2019 BY

BALLARAT Interfaith Network will be conducting a forum about mental health and wellbeing at Barkly Square.

The Holistic Health and the Positive Influence of Faith event will have four speakers presenting their experiences followed by a roundtable discussion.

“It is hoped this opportunity to hear different perspectives on the growing crisis of mental health and wellbeing… will be seen as a positive contribution to the social debate,” Chair of Ballarat Interfaith Network Margaret Lenan Ellis said.

The aim is to “add to the discussion of how to address this crisis in a holistic way.”

Speaking will be Sundram Sivamalai – Victorian Multicultural Commissioner Rachel Muir, Kevan Pitcher – City of Ballarat Intercultural Ambassador and Aboriginal Development Officer, and Cr Des Hudson from the City of Ballarat and Victoria Police Senior Constable.

The forum will be held at The Four Corner’s Café in Barkly Square, 25-39 Barkly St, on Friday, 13 September from 6.45pm.

Coffee and refreshments will be provided, and donations are always welcome.

Though free, bookings are required. RSVP at holistic-health-positive-influence-of-faith-forum.eventbrite.com.au or by calling 0418 383 802 or 0400 650 234.
