Funding to support students’ creativity
APPLICATIONS are open for next year’s State Government Ccreative Learning Partnerships rogram.
It aims to help Victorian students build their creative skills by allowing schools to apply for funding towards a creative residency project.
The funding will support schools to work with artists, creative collectives and companies to create a project which links to the curriculum.
“Creativity and learning go hand in hand and through creative learning partnerships we’re enhancing education opportunities for students and teachers and creating dynamic job opportunities for those who want to follow a creative pathway,” said Minister for Creative Industries, Colin Brooks.
Grants of $10,000 are available to schools that work with an individual artist or $35,000 for working with a creative collective or company.
The residency project will happen in terms two to four 2025.
“Creative skills will be essential in the jobs of the future and by bringing more creative experiences into the classroom, we’re boosting students’ cognitive development and problem-solving abilities while also inspiring the next generation of leaders and creative thinkers,” said Minister for Education Ben Carroll.
Applications close on Thursday 12 September and can be made on the Creative Victoria website.
