A COCKTAIL Gala at The Pub with Two Names on Wednesday, 1 May will kick off Plate Up Ballarat festivities for 2019.

The event in The Stables will not only officially open the month-long foodie festival but provide an opportunity for networking with Plate Up organisers, sponsors and influential personalities in Ballarat’s food and drink movement.

Wines from Best’s Wines, and Clarnette and Ludvigsen will be showcased, and attendees can enjoy delicious canapes made from locally grown produce including Tuki Trout Farm, Waubra Beef and Millbrook Free Range.

Plate Up Ballarat will present 50 unique food experiences across the 31 days of May, shining a spotlight on the city’s local food and wine stage, while championing growers, producers, chefs, cafés, restaurants and sustainability.

Tickets for the Gala are $129 per person from stickytickets.com.au.
