GRAMPIANS Health board members and staff have looked back on the past year at the organisation’s annual general meeting.

Stakeholders and staff reviewed progress made over the last year and looked towards future milestones.

“The AGM was an important opportunity to acknowledge the dedication of our staff and the progress we have made in delivering equitable healthcare across western Victoria,” said Dale Fraser, CEO of Grampians Health.

“Collaboration across our campuses has been vital in achieving these outcomes, and we remain committed to building on this momentum.”

Throughout the past year, Grampians Health expanded specialist care by providing paediatric services across locations, opening a haematology clinic in Stawell, and streamlined emergency care provision and sharing allied health resources across all campuses.

Specialist services for women’s health were also introduced, such as a heavy menstrual bleeding clinic in Ballarat – the first of its kind in the region – sexual health hubs and pelvic health physiotherapy clinics in Horsham and Stawell, and a gynaecology clinic in Stawell. A second operating theatre was opened in Stawell and a purpose-built pharmacy was opened in Horsham.

The Youth Prevention and Recovery Care Centre in Ballarat is expected to open next year, and the $655 million Ballarat Base Hospital redevelopment will be completed in 2027.

“This past year has been transformative for Grampians Health,” Mr Fraser said.

“The expansion of services, the investment in infrastructure, and the reforms we have implemented are already making a tangible difference in the lives of our patients and communities.

“Our focus now is on delivering our 2025-2029 strategic plan, which will strengthen partnerships and ensure inclusive, accessible and high-quality care for all.”
