MUSIC, fun, wine and food – a perfect recipe for the upcoming Summer Sundays concert series running in January in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.

Over the course of three Sundays commencing 6 January the free all-ages event will give locals and visitors alike the chance to listen to music of all genres while enjoying local food and wine.

Ballarat musician Candi Wade, a solo acoustic guitar player and singer, will play a 30-minute set on Sunday, 20 January.

Ms Wade said, “I haven’t played at the Summer series before but I’ve always wanted to so I am very excited.”

“I’m sure there will be some faces there I know.”

New Wave Events music programmer Shaun Adams is responsible for arranging the line-up of performers from Melbourne, interstate and locally, with four acts taking their turn on stage each Sunday.

“Having organised the music for the past two years we have now been able to fine tune it to suit our audience,” said Mr Adams.

“From big ska bands to solo acoustic acts everything flows naturally and suits the scenery of Summer Sundays.”

Local winery Blue Pyrenees Estate, partnering sponsor of the Garden Bar throughout January, will pour free wine tastings between 3pm to 6pm each Sunday as well as serving a selection of craft beer and cider.

To satisfy the taste buds of the audience, each week a different range of food vendors will be on site.

The bean bag lounge will once again be front and centre to the stage for those who want to relax and take it easy – a great way to spend a Summer Sunday.

The Summer Sundays concert series takes place in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens between 3pm and 7pm on Sunday 6, 13 and 20 January.
