PARTY like it’s 1399 at Kryal Castle over the next couple of weeks by sitting down to enjoy a medieval feast.

On Saturday, 16 and Friday, 22 January, you’re invited to enjoy a two-course meal and live show as part of the attraction’s summer events.

Kryal Castle general manager Melissa Dimond said the meal is accompanied by exciting and funny entertainment.

“In between courses, visitors will pop outside to see a joust, and there’s a pantomime in the abbey, The Bravest Brave That Ever Braved, which is always tongue-in-cheek and a bit of a giggle,” she said.

“We’re open 2pm to 8pm, so Ballarat locals who are looking for something different to do can book in to come and have dinner while the park is open, or visitors can come to the feast while they’re staying in-house.

“We’ve scheduled the feast around our programs so people won’t miss out on anything.”

As part of the Castle’s summer school holiday activities, familiar personalities are roaming the grounds for families to meet.

“We’ve thrown all our favourite characters into the program, with Alice in Wonderland and all her friends, the Queen of Hearts, Robin Hood, our famous knights and Rapunzel,” Ms Dimond said.

She encourages Ballarat residents to consider coming along to support the attraction, following a challenging year of closure due to COVID-19.

“When is the last time you visited Kryal Castle? Maybe you haven’t been since it opened in the 70s, or since we reopened in the last few years.

“We’ve thrown everything at this program. Come and enjoy a day out at a medieval castle and have a meal with us,” Ms Dimond said.
