BALLARAT and District Trotting Club’s Boxing Day race meeting is a great opportunity to decompress from the Christmas crunch in fun and family friendly atmosphere.

“Boxing Day race meeting offers the whole family an opportunity to gather together for a fun and relaxing day,” said Belinda Eden, Business Development and Marketing manager for the Trotting Club.

“It also offers parents and family, time to sit and relax after the Christmas rush and enjoy the up and close experience with the horses we offer at Ballarat.”

The Boxing Day race meeting is a kid focused event with each child receiving a free sausage, soft drink and icy pole.

The kid friendly fun doesn’t stop there with a jumping castle, face painting and pony trots to keep the tin lids entertained while the grown-ups take well-earned break.

Dining in the Terrace Restaurant includes a two-course meal for $26, track entry and a race book. Bookings are essential.

Gates open at 5pm and the first race goes at 6pm.

General admission is $8 for adults, $4 for pensioners and kids under 18 are free but need to be accompanied by an adult.
