PLENTY is planned for young and old this Good Friday at Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club’s Family Fun Day.

From 11am to 3pm this Friday, 19 April the broader Ballarat community is invited to support the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal by exploring 60 market stalls, enjoying food vans, a barbecue and coffee.

Grubby Boots animal nursery, a jumping castle, bungee run and inflatable slide will entertain the children, and an Easter bonnet parade should attract lots of creative entries.

Local singers and dancers, including the Australian Irish Dance Company Ballarat, are set to perform live. Raffle prizes and auction items are up for grabs, including a signed 2019 Western Bulldogs guernsey.

Organiser, Ammie Moneghetti has run events for the Good Friday Appeal over the last three years but really wanted to up the ante in 2019.

“We are looking forward to raising as much money as we can for the Royal Children’s Hospital and contributing to Ballarat’s overall effort,” she said.

“We hope to see people of all ages supporting the fun day, and especially hope to see lots of families out having a great time.”

Entry is by donation, and the children’s rides and animal nursery are ticketed. Find the BGRC on Rubicon Street, Redan.
