IF you have a positive holiday experience, do you make the effort to leave a good review?

It seems that many families who’ve stayed at Golden Point’s Sovereign Park Motor Inn certainly have.

The accommodation venue has been ranked third on the Top 25 Hotels for Families in the South Pacific list, as part of the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best awards 2022.

Sovereign Park’s owner-operator Tim Canny said his team is proud and humbled to be recognised alongside “impressive and incredible” family resorts throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.

“This is a testament to our unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction and a positive guest experience. We appreciate all the guests that have left comments on Tripadvisor,” he said.

“These are reviews that we have no control over, they are read more now than ever, and they’re critical to an accommodation business.

“It’s great for our staff to get this feedback, and it’s a great benchmarking tool. It gives us an indication of whether we’re on the right track, whether our family customers are enjoying their stays with us, and we listen to it.”

Mr Canny said his team is committed to providing good customer service and well-presented facilities, and these are the things that are often mentioned in guests’ feedback.

“Our building is nearly 40 years’ old, but we’ve managed to keep it updated and clean, and this focus has really helped us get good reviews.

“We’ve got a strong guest experience focus, wanting to meet and exceed their expectations when they come to stay with us, whether that’s through service, facilities like our recreation centre, outstanding indoor heated swimming pool, or our menu at the Red Lion, which has great kids’ meals,” he said.

“There are lots of little things that make us a really family-friendly destination.”

Mr Canny said another of the Main Road property’s major drawcards is its proximity to Sovereign Hill.
