A NEW start-up is aiming to change the way Ballarat offers its local businesses feedback.

Ben Wearne and Nick Clare launched online site Suggest It recently with the aim of championing positive suggestions and relaying them privately as a way of offering an alternative to established review platforms.

Feedback about service, products, or anything regarding the customer experience can be directed to enterprises or organisations across the city.

“We felt there was a need to reimagine the suggestion box for the digital age,” Mr Wearne said.

“Through Suggest It, we’ve created a great option for businesses to tap into their customer base and discover new ways of operating, all for free.

“Customers, we call them gurus, are often the ones who have great ideas that will help businesses take the next step. Suggest It provides a simple and anonymous way for these ideas to be shared with the businesses they love.”

Mr Clare said Ballarat’s business community is supported by “loyal and vocal” customers, so it is the ideal location for the platform to be based.

“With coronavirus meaning we are all more local than ever, now is exactly the right time for us all to get behind our favourite local businesses in positive ways with positive ideas,” he said.

“If Suggest It gains momentum here, we plan to introduce it to the rest of the country, and it will be great to say that it began right here in Ballarat.”
