EARLIER this month, 75 Ballarat locals interested in becoming first-time home builders attended a free information event run by Metricon Homes.

Guests had access to industry specialists who answered their questions and advised them on the buying and building process.

The Metricon BuildSmart event took place at Oscar’s Hotel and Café Bar and was focused on helping a variety of customers.

Those saving for their first home, those looking for a home and land package, those who had already purchased land, and those who were simply interested in learning more about the Metricon building process.

Metricon’s Manager, Regional West, Simon Taylor, said, “We know how exciting building a new home can be, but we also know that the process can be daunting if you haven’t built before – and that’s exactly why we’re running these events.

Locals had the opportunity to learn all about the building process in a relaxed environment.

“We explained what to expect at every step of the way during the building process, from paying the initial deposit right through to being handed the keys to a new Metricon home. We also explained the level of specialised attention customers will receive from the team dedicated to building their new home.

“We discussed how Metricon ensures that the buying and building process is straightforward, so customers can enjoy watching their dream home become a reality without unnecessary stress.

“Having real customers who had recently gone through the build process was a highlight, meaning guests were able to casually chat to other locals who had been in the same position as them a year ago, and who were now enjoying their new home.

“Guests were also really interested to learn more about the vast range of products available for the central elements of a new home,” concluded Taylor.
