THE Northern Rivers Symphony Orchestra (NRSO) is set to enchant audiences once again with a diverse and engaging programme that promises to captivate music lovers of all kinds.
On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the orchestra will perform its highly anticipated Variety of Classics concert at the Tweed Heads Civic Centre, offering an afternoon of light-hearted favourites, Broadway hits, and beloved classical pieces.
Under the baton of Dr Warwick Potter, the NRSO will present a compelling lineup of iconic works, including Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus Overture, Tchaikovsky’s Waltz of the Flowers, and Carnival Overture by Antonín Dvořák.
In addition, audiences will enjoy the cinematic sounds of John Barry’s Dances with Wolves and the jazzy rhythms of Chicago by John Kander.
Gabriel Fauré’s Pavane will bring a touch of elegance, rounding out the rich variety of styles.
This concert promises something for everyone, from classical enthusiasts to Broadway fans, all delivered with the NRSO’s signature passion and energy.
It’s a rare opportunity to enjoy such a wide range of musical styles in one exciting performance.
The concert starts at 2.30pm, with tickets priced at $60 for general admission, $50 for concessions, and $25 for students.
School children can attend for free when accompanied by a ticket holder.
