ARTISTS and creative organisations across the Northern Rivers will have the opportunity to meet Rosie Dennis, the new executive director of Arts Northern Rivers, as she begins a series of regional sessions from late March through to early April.

The meetings aim to give the local arts sector a chance to connect with Dennis, explore priorities highlighted in the Who We Are Report and raise questions about the organisation’s future direction and focus.

The Who We Are Report, conducted by Arts Northern Rivers in 2023 and 2024, provides a snapshot of the region’s arts and culture industries, highlighting the sector’s value, challenges, priorities and its function within the community.

Arts Northern Rivers executive director Rosie Dennis said the regional meetings would be an opportunity to connect directly with the arts community.

“I’m really looking forward to getting out across the region and meeting people face to face,” she said.

“These sessions are about listening, hearing directly from artists and organisations about what’s working, what’s needed, and how Arts Northern Rivers can best support the sector moving forward.”

Dennis will visit all six Northern Rivers local government areas, with sessions scheduled for Byron Shire on March 31, Tweed Shire on April 1 and Lismore on April 2.

The sessions are open to artists, organisations and creative workers who want to engage with Arts Northern Rivers and share insights into the sector’s needs.
