Extra virgin olive oils, straight from the trees to the table

October 28, 2022 BY

The range at Lighthouse Olive Grove includes a variety of extra virgin olive oils ranging from mild to intense, robust flavours.

The family-owned Lighthouse Olive Grove is the creator of the well-known and premium hand crafted, small batch extra virgin olive oils.

Located in the heart of the Bellarine, with views across Swan Bay to Queenscliff, the classic cool climate provides a distinct Victorian coastal character with oils that are versatile and vary in their degree of fruitiness.

Lighthouse olives are harvested in the late autumn to early winter months, then processed immediately to retain the freshness and flavours of the high-quality fruit.

The range is produced entirely on site, with processing and pressing all done within hours of harvest.

Once the oil is extracted, it is stored in stainless steel tanks to allow the oil to settle naturally.

Unfiltered oil is not only better for you, it tastes better too.

The range includes a variety of extra virgin olive oils ranging from mild to intense, robust flavours and includes two varieties of citrus oils, which have been made with whole fruit to create a true, zesty flavour.

With hand chopped fresh lemons, limes and jalapenos being pressed together with the olives (Italian, agrumato style), these oils have a unique fresh, zesty flavour perfect for salads, vegetables, fish and seafood.

The Lighthouse Shop offers informative tastings across the range with resident expert Rosie, as well as gourmet pantry items, olive oil products and Oakdene wines and is open Thursday to Sunday, 11am-4pm, 648 Andersons Road, Drysdale.

The property boasts its own private getaway in the Lighthouse Cottage.

With views over the Oakdene vineyard, a cosy fireplace and expansive outdoor space, it is the perfect location for you and your family or friends to explore the Bellarine Peninsula.
