IN just a short time, CorePlus Ocean Grove has become much more than a place to exercise. For local owners Emma Sharp and Niki Currie, the studio was always intended to be a space where movement, wellbeing and community could come together under one roof.

As Bellarine and Surf Coast locals themselves, the pair understands the importance of community connection and has built the studio around creating an environment that feels welcoming, supportive and inclusive for people of all ages and fitness levels.

What sets CorePlus Ocean Grove apart is its unique blend of reformer Pilates, mat Pilates, yoga and strength training, allowing members to find a movement style that suits their body, goals and lifestyle.

The studio’s success has also been driven by its team of passionate local instructors, many of whom live and work in the Ocean Grove community.

Their focus extends beyond simply teaching classes, creating a space where members feel known, supported and connected.

That sense of community was recently highlighted through the studio’s “Move Better, Live Better” campaign, which featured local men sharing their personal experiences with Pilates and movement.

From builders and business owners to runners and surfers, the campaign challenged common perceptions about Pilates while showcasing the positive impact movement can have on strength, recovery, mental wellbeing and everyday life.

The campaign reflected what Emma and Niki see every day within the studio walls: people moving not just to improve their fitness, but to improve their quality of life.

Beyond the studio space, CorePlus Ocean Grove continues to partner with local businesses, sporting groups and community organisations, creating opportunities for people to connect through movement.

Recent initiatives, including men’s-only community classes and local storytelling campaigns, have further strengthened the studio’s reputation as a place where health, wellbeing and community intersect.

As Ocean Grove continues to grow, so too does the community surrounding CorePlus.

New friendships are formed in classes, local businesses connect through studio events and members regularly encourage family and friends to join them on their movement journey.

At its heart, CorePlus Ocean Grove remains focused on a simple philosophy – helping people move better so they can live better.

For those curious about Pilates, yoga or strength training, the studio offers a welcoming entry point, whether someone is stepping into a class for the very first time or looking to take their training to the next level.

Backed by strong local roots, passionate instructors and a thriving member community, CorePlus Ocean Grove is continuing to establish itself as one of the Bellarine’s most connected and community-focused wellness destinations.
