A next generation social hub – Near Geelong and the Surf Coast

January 14, 2021 BY

The jewel in the crown of Lifestyle Mount Duneed is its recently completed multi-million-dollar clubhouse.

With beautiful living spaces nestled amongst resort-style facilities and the right amount of “wow factor” to make the kids jealous, Lifestyle Mount Duneed, located at 123 Boundary Road, is the perfect setting for working, semi-retired or retired over 50s.

The jewel in the crown of Lifestyle Mount Duneed is its recently completed multi-million-dollar clubhouse. Award-winning architects DKO, have taken the clubhouse concept to a new level of design that meaningfully connects homeowners with the local landscape, among plush furnishings and five-star resort luxury.

DKO’s Senior Architect Rochelle Rosenwax explains the clubhouse was planned in the round, abstracted into a curved building that takes cues from local Aboriginal artwork depicting people gathered around a camp site and watering hole, a wonderful analogy for a place that is all about bringing community together.

The open plan space is devised to bring the outside in, wrapping around a gorgeous landscaped courtyard and comprising all-natural materials that complement the beautiful Australian landscape. The stunning building houses a 30-seat cinema, communal library, heated pool, spa, gym, and games room featuring a bar and billiard tables. Huge floor to ceiling glass windows overlook landscaped communal gardens featuring a magnificent 14-metre-tall scarlet oak tree, an outdoor pickleball court and bowling green.

According to DKO Associate Simone Tyson, “the clubhouse seeks to convey a sense of belonging and connection” for homeowners. It is truly the communal centrepiece of Lifestyle Mount Duneed, offering a next generation social hub for homeowners to gather with friends or find a quiet nook to relax.
