BOO SEEKA for Sunsets

November 7, 2018 BY

Aussie synth duo Boo Seeka are arriving at the Torquay Hotel to play a free gig on November 16 as part of the Corona’s SunSets concert series, with massive crowds once again predicted.

Corona SunSets concert series is back with Aussie electronica/hip hop duo Boo Seeka hitting the Torquay Hotel on November 16.

The free event is expected to see packed crowds arrive as the sun sets to enjoy the duo that have dominated national airwaves and featured on triple j’s Hottest 100.

Ben Gumbleton said he and fellow Seeka Sam Croft were looking forward to playing to the notorious Torquay crowds.

“We’ve never performed in Torquay before but we’re very excited. I’ve been there before many times to watch Bells Beach, I love the place,” he said.

“I’ve also been to the Torquay Hotel before too and I’m really looking forward to finally playing there. I’ve heard many stories about how loose the crowd can get.”

Ben said they’ll perform in St Kilda for the first show then arrive to Torquay for the second before heading to the airport.

“We have to head to Darwin straight after the Torquay show, we’ll be playing, have a few beers and then head straight back to the airport,” he said.

Ben said being a full-time musicianstill felt surreal to him and loved every opportunity they got to perform to live crowds.

“There’s so many things I love about performing, I love losing my worries. It’s a pretty amazing experience to beable to be on stage for a living and for people to come along and enjoy our music,” he said.

“It’s been three years of us performing full-time, so every gig still feels amazing, it all happened really quickly for us.”

The pair, who met through a mutual friend, have toured through Europe, UK and USA, and have played to sell-out shows throughout Australia thanks to their infectious live performances.

“We’re going to be playing our hits and chuck in a few new ones as well. We love having a good time and getting loose so can’t wait to see if Torquay has the reputation we’vebeen told it has.”
