Circus Oz to return to Geelong

May 8, 2019 BY

Circus Oz will return to the Geelong Performing Arts Centre this May to perform its latest production, Precarious.

Circus Oz is preparing to make a spectacular return to Geelong this May with its new show, Precarious.

Jampacked with the company’s trademark stupefying acrobatics, phenomenal aerials, live music and physical comedy, Precarious – which is part of this year’s Deakin University Theatre Season – takes audiences on a journey into the chaos of nature.

The characters, inhabitants of the unknown world, attempt to navigate their way through the unfamiliarity of the mysterious environment they find themselves in.

“Precarious is simply a must-see for families or anyone wanting to be entertained,” Geelong Performing Arts Centre CEO Joel McGuiness said.“Circus Oz has been performing and touring for more than 40 years now and their unique combination of jawdropping antics, trademark humour and social commentary, all set to a killer soundtrack of live original music from the Circus Oz live band, guarantees a great night or day out.

“We’re thrilled to bring Circus Oz back to Geelong for another incredible spectacle of acrobatic mayhem in The Playhouse.”

Directed by Rob Tannion and Kate Fryer, the 70-minute non-stop spectacle has a cast of talented young performers.

Inspired by the icy plains of the Antarctic, Precarious sees new arrivals manipulate their surroundings, and each other, to turn the inhospitable into the possible.

Precarious will deliver four performances from May 30 to June 1. A special family ticket price of $45 is available (two adults and two children, or one adult and three children).

To book, visit gpac.org.au or phone The Box Office on 5225 1200.
