Coast calling all artists

October 26, 2017 BY

The 20th annual ArtSpot exhibition will be held September 27 – October 15.

Organisers at Surf Coast Arts Inc are now looking for artworks in any media, including painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, sculpture, installation, digital media, and moving image to be a part of the annual event.

For first-time exhibitors, ArtSpot is a great opportunity to show and sell work in a supportive environment, at minimal cost.

There are also three people’s choice prizes on offer, ranging from $50-$250. All visitors will have the opportunity to vote on their favourite artwork in the exhibition.

Entries to ArtSpot are $10 per work or free for Surf Coast Arts members, and open to artists of all ages both emerging and experienced.

Entry forms can be completed online at the Surf Coast Arts website for up to two pieces of work, as well as an unlimited number of unframed works on paper and cards.

Surf Coast Art Space along the Great Ocean Road in Anglesea will host the exhibition with the support of the Surf Coast Shire.

Entries close tomorrow (September 22), with art work needing to be delivered to the gallery on September 25 between 3pm and 6.30pm. The exhibition will be open daily from 11am-5pm.

Surf Coast Arts is a community group run by volunteers who are passionate about strengthening the artistic and cultural fabric of the Surf Coast. For more information and to enter, head to surfcoastarts.com.
