One-hour cruises and day trips from Geelong to Portarlington

PORT Phillip Ferries is not just a passenger ferry that transports people across the bay between the Bellarine Peninsula and Melbourne.

This summer they have a range of new and interesting packages and specials that are designed for locals and holiday makers who are based in and around Portarlington.

Here’s some of the highlights:

  • Geelong Day Trip Packages from Portarlington and back

Designed for locals and holiday makers who are based on the Bellarine Peninsula, Port Phillip Ferries have anew summer offering that packages up return daily services between Portarlington and Geelong.

These summer offerings allow people to leave the car behind and cruise over to Geelong for the day, where they can spend a leisurely three hours to have a lunch, go for a swim at Eastern Beach or even do some post-Christmas shopping.

Prices start from $20 for adults and kids under 13 travel free (T&Cs apply).

Daily services between Portarlington and Geelong will run from December 18 to January 28 (excluding January 13).

  • One-hour Summer Discovery

Cruises, Saturday sailings from Portarlington Pier

Designed to give passengers a different perspective of Port Philip Bay, these family-friendly, one-hour Summer Discovery Cruises give guests the opportunity to go for a relaxed cruise aboard a state-of-the-art 35-metre catamaran.

Passengers can kick back and enjoy the coastal scenery of the Bellarine coastline as they enjoy a refreshing beverage from the licensed café.

The cost is $20 for adults and children under 13 go free (T&Cs apply).

Cruises will depart from the Portarlington Pier at 2.30pm on December 30, 2023, January 6, 2024 and January 20, 2024.

Whether you are looking to head there for lunch in The Atrium, The Lawn, the Bistro and or the Front Bar, or you simply want to stop off for an afternoon beverage in the beer garden, all you have to do is show your same day ferry ticket to receive 10 per cent off the total bill.

Port Phillip Ferries’ modern ferries feature multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas, accessible onboard facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi and charging stations.

They are also easily accessible for all via boarding ramps, comfortably accommodating wheelchairs, motorised mobility scooters, and prams.
