St Aloysius Queenscliff open morning

March 24, 2023 BY

St Aloysius students are in small classes and have close teacher direction for all parts of their learning.

What does Prep look like at Saint Aloysius?

• It looks like students in small, calm classes who are having close teacher direction for all parts of their learning.

• It looks like kids using their hands to build things, to write things, to paint things, to ask questions and to create work that makes them excited about learning.

• It looks like walking to Swan Bay to learn about our local environment, not from a book or a screen, but by being immersed in it. It looks like visiting the Marine Freshwater Discovery Centre and working with marine biologists to learn about our internationally recognised waterways.

Children at St Aloysius build, write, and paint things!

Families at Saint Aloysius Primary School are welcomed with open arms when they join our community and are a part of every step of the learning journey of their children. Carla Leonard’s third son Darcy started Prep at Saint Aloysius in 2023.

Even as an experienced “Prep Parent” Carla has witnessed the joy that beginning Prep at Saint Aloysius has brought for Darcy.

She has been involved in guiding him through the beautiful beginning of school rituals we have by being present for our Opening Mass and being part of classroom prayer every morning. Carla enjoys being part of such a welcoming school, so she also serves on the School Council and helps develop the inclusive culture of the school.

Carla Howard’s first child Laura started Prep Saint Aloysius also this year. Carla highly values the small class sizes and calm atmosphere in every classroom.

She has been impressed by the level of one-on-one time Laura receives daily.

She has been really impressed by the fact that every teacher in the school already knows herself and her daughter Laura by name and loves being greeted in the corridor, every morning by students and staff alike as they start the school day.

If this is the kind of culture, environment and learning that you would like your child to have, come along to the Saint Aloysius Open
Morning on 29 March at 9:30 am.

Do a tour with one of our fabulous school captains and see for yourself what our teachers, classes and student culture looks like in action

We value every step in the educational journey of our students. We have availability in all classes from Prep to Grade 6 and we hope your Catholic education journey starts with us.
