Cactus flowers to owner’s delight

FOR the first time in eight years, Daphne Reeves’ cactus is flowering.

The Indented Head resident said this was the first year her plant had buds and she wanted to share it with readers.

“I have a six-foot cactus with a lot of flowers, blooming only for two days,” Ms Reeves said. “This is unusual, I have had it growing for many years.

“It is quite spectacular.” Ms Reeves said perhaps the sandy/clay soil in Indented Head had something to do with it.
