Leon Bridges tour to head to Geelong
Heading Down Under for the first time since 2022 to perform his biggest Australian shows to date, the Texan singer-songwriter’s gigs were announced today (Monday, September 30) and will include an all-ages performance at Mt Duneed Estate on Saturday, January 25.
His new album, titled Leon, has been six years in the making and will be released this Friday, October 4 through Sony.
As a sought-after collaborator, Bridges has joined forces with everyone from John Mayer and Kacey Musgraves to Lucky Daye, Noah Cyrus, Khruangbin and Carin León.
Bridges’ 2025 tour marks his sixth visit to Australia since his 2016 debut, and has seen him progress from intimate theatres to multiple sold-out Sydney Opera House Concert Halls on his last trip here.
Joining Bridges at his A Day on the Green shows will be Melbourne band Glass Beams, making their anticipated return to Australia after playing sold-out shows around the world and winning over global audiences with their fusion of cultures and sounds.
The line up also includes Australian folk-pop singer-songwriter Maple Glider, the solo project of Melbourne singer-songwriter Tori Zietsch.
The Leon Tour is being presented by Roundhouse Entertainment in conjunction with Penny Drop, Chugg Entertainment and Frontier Touring.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 4 at 11am local time via Ticketmaster, with A Day on the Green members’ and AAMI customers’ presales beginning Wednesday, October 2 at 9am local time.
