Santa Claus and carols come to Ocean Grove Park
THOUSANDS of locals filled Ocean Grove Park at the weekend to share in the Christmas spirit.
Ocean Grove Carols in the Park organiser Jon Mamonski said the annual event on Sunday “went off”, with performances in the Grove Pavilion by the Geelong Harmony singers, soloist Diane Gardner and the Geelong Symphony Orchestra.
Mr Mamonski said about 3,000 people attended the carols, which also featured pupils from Ocean Grove’s primary schools all singing on stage at the same time.
He said the weather was ideal, but turned a bit chilly towards the end, which worked in well with the fake snow.
Santa was also a big highlight and the main man on the night.
