The Coryule Chorus Community choir will go through its learning processes under the watchful eye of its audience, who can sit back and enjoy the entertainment.

THE Coryule Chorus Community choir will hold its second open rehearsal next week, after the first one last year received such a positive response with excellent attendance.

Held on Thursday June 27, the format will be very relaxed as the choir goes through its learning processes under the watchful eye of its audience, who can sit back and enjoy the entertainment, and get the occasional opportunity to participate with some sing-alongs.

The choir’s regular accompanist Jean Badenhop will be on vacation during this event, but the choir is delighted to announce it has secured the services of Frank de Rosso as replacement accompanist.

Frank was the recipient of an OAM for services to music at the last Queen’s Birthday honours list, and is a highly accomplished organist and pianist, having been organist at St Mary’s, Geelong since 1986.

He is the driving force behind the very popular “Music at the Basilica” Festival recently held in Geelong.

Come along and join in the fun, enjoy the music and also enjoy the afternoon tea with choir members at the conclusion of the event.

A gold coin donation at the door would be appreciated.

The open rehearsal is at St James Anglican Church Hall, Collins Street, Drysdale from 1.30pm.
