Torquay Community House celebrates LGBTIQ community
U3A Surf Coast president John Bartlett enjoyed the celebrations at Torquay Community House.
TORQUAY Community House celebrated International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT) on Friday May 17 over a colourful evening of drinks and nibbles.
Mayor Rose Hodge attended the event, as well as local poet and author John Bartlett who delivered a reading to attendees.
IDAHOBIT has been a calendar event since 2004 and aims to build knowledge and understanding around our diverse LGBTIQ communities
