DANCE, cabaret, tributes to the greats, mysteries of days gone by and a World Tour of Australia are just some of the treasures on offer July through to September at the home of the performing arts on the Bellarine: the Potato Shed in Drysdale.

On July 17, Melbourne dance company Dancebourne Arts will bring the Five Elements alive through contemporary and classical dance. Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Void are explored, accompanied by music from composers including Peter Sculthorpe and Claude Debussy. A must for those who love dance.

Steven Zammitt brings his tribute to Frank Sinatra, and the incomparable Issi Dye celebrates America’s sweetheart crooner, Bobby Darin in Let’s Be Frank – Bobby Darin Tribute, on July 30.

The show features all the greatest hits including “My Way”, “New York, New York”, “Come Fly With Me” and “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” alongside “Dream Lover”, “Mack the Knife”, and “Splish Splash”.

A trip to the City of Lights ended in less-than-ideal circumstances. All that was left was a box of Super 8 films. Lost in Venice on August 6 takes you back to a time when touring the continent was a rite of passage, but not all is what it seems.

Long before MasterChef, there was one woman who taught a generation of Australian women to step out of their comfort zones and embrace new ways of cooking and entertaining.

Former National Living Treasure Margaret Fulton OAM is celebrated in Margaret Fulton: the Musical in two sessions at 2pm and 7pm on August 21.

This delightful musical romp charts Fulton’s journey from humble beginnings to super-stardom.

Margaret Fulton: the Musical will be performed twice on August 21.

The tributes continue with Eddie James in Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck Tribute on September 3.

The acclaimed Australian entertainer will have you swinging and swaying the night away with such classics as “Delilah”, “You’re My World”, “She’s a Lady”, “What’s New Pussycat”, “Spanish Eyes”, “Quando, Quando, Quando”, “My World”, “The Last Waltz” and more.

Leading Melbourne independent singer-songwriters Dave Cosma (Sun Rising: the Songs that Made Memphis) and Charles Jenkins (Icecream Hands) bring their World Tour of Australia to the Potato Shed on September 9.

A show where the line between audience and performers is blurred, giving the audience an intimate insight into two of Australia’s finest independent singer-songwriters.

Each school holiday Theatre 3triple2 present their take on classic fairy tales for the young and young at heart.
