Anglesea Golf Club – August 30, 2018

ON Wednesday August 22, the Men played Stableford, and the Final Round of the Phil Lewtas Perpetual Trophy. The Men’s A Grade Winner was Ian Treloar with Andrew Daffy with 43 points while Keith Turner finished runner-up with 41 points.

The B Grade winner was David McLaren with 38 points from runner-up Barry Walker who scored 37 points. New member Jeremy Larcombe won C Grade with 43 points. James Maffett finished runner-up with 39 points on a countback. Ball rundown to 36 points on a countback. NTPs: 3rd Ian Lewtas, 6th Chucky Smith, 13th Jeff Kaye and Jackpot 16th David Goldsmith.

After rounds of 38 points and 37 points, Barry Walker was the winner of Phil Lewtas Perpetual Trophy with 75 points. Congratulations Barry. Peter Atherden finished only 1 point behind with 74 points.

On Thursday August 23, the Women played Stableford. The A Grade Winner was Roberta Lockyer with 34 points, while Sue Britnell finished runner-up with 33 points. The B Grade Winner was Janice Calvert with 37 points from runner-up Sue Gell who scored 36 points. The C Grade Winner was Maryanne Frauenfelder with 36 points from Judy Clark who finished runner-up with 33 points. Ball rundown to 33 points on a countback NTPs: 3rd Lorraine Elliott, 6th Dee Stewart, Jackpot 13th Sue Gell and 16th Roberta Lockyer.

On Saturday August 25, we hosted the Anglesea Surf Life Saving Club Annual Fundraising Golf Day.

On Sunday August 26, the Men and Women played Stableford. The Men’s A Grade Winner was Kent Taylor with 38 points. The B Grade winner was David McLaren with 37 points. John Smith won C Grade with 39 points. Ball rundown to 37 points on a countback. The Women’s Winner was Elizabeth Kearton with 42 points. Ball rundown to 37 points on countback. NTPs: 3rd Jack Bone, 6th Ben Nancarrow, 13th Jane Millar, and Jackpot 16th Ben Nancarrow.

We have the Totally 80s Band back at the Club on Saturday October 6 – Dinner and Show $59. Last year, the night was booked out and by all reports the night was an absolute blast. Tickets now selling don’t miss out!
