Stan Booley Match Play Event – Congratulations to Peter Mundy in winning the Final 4 and 3 over Steve Nelson. The match was very close at the half way mark but Peter went into another gear on the back 9. This was our biggest field in this event for many years so it will be great to see even a bigger field in 2019.

Round of the Week – Matthew Tench with 43 points on Saturday.

Eagles: Tim Singleton went one better with an alabatross 2 on the par 5, 1st hole on Sunday.

Saturday’s fine weather saw four Eagles: Steve Hutson on the 3rd; Neil Tomlins – 7th; Clem Powers and Tim Ludowyk – 14th.

Sunday July 8: PAR – 33 Players. Phillip Curtain (20) was impressive with +4, edging out Jarrod Noske (28) +3.

Tuesday July 10: Women 9 Holes Stroke: Linley Doak 37; Betty Morgan 38 countback.

Wednesday July 11: 137 Players Men PAR: A) Jack Wilson (9) won by one with +4 from David Yelland (12) +3. B) Michael Hanley (14) went one better with +5. Ronald Hoskin (14) was next best with +3. C) Jock Christoe (22) kept the progression going with +6, with Barry Eeles (25) on +4.

NTP: 4th – Wayne Marendaz (1.74m), 8th Greg Bishop (0.98m), 13th – Ian Lapsley,

17th – And Golden Shot Winner – Ike Kulbars (2.41m & $120).

Thursday July 12: Women S’Ford: 52 Players – A) Vicki Carnie (6) needed the countback to edge out Bernadette Thomas (13), with both scoring 38. B). Dib Simonsen (34) won by one with 36 from Anne Collis (23) 35 countback.

NTP: 4th – Barbara Forsyth (Pizza On Madeley), 8th – Judy Hocking, 13th – Judy Scarrott (Leura Park Estate), 17th – And Golden Shot Winner – Di Dmith ($44).

Saturday July 14: Men Stableford: 175 Players. The Golfing Gods smiled on Curlewis today with a fabulous day for golf. A) Cedo Rakic (7) eked out Dan King (4) by one with 39. B) Matthew Tench (11) had the round of the day with 43 with Captain Bernie Den Besten (10) next best with 39. C) Grav Charles (16) had a great score of 42 but needed the countback to separate him from Mark Holroyd (19). D) Vinko Spehar (30) won by one with 40 from Ryan Parkinson (20) 39.

Women: 24 Players – Pat Malloch (16) blitzed with 42 from Vicki Carnie (5) 35.

NTP: 4th – Will Johnston (1.39m), 8th – Bernie Ryan (0.94m), 13th – Pam Roberts (5.05m), 17th – And Golden Shot Winner – Sandy Shaw (084m and $177).
