FOUR local basketball players will represent Victoria at the 2026 under-16 National Championships in Bendigo this July.

Geelong United’s Wil Nisbet, Gabe Sailor, Henry Wilson and Georgia Fitzpatrick have earned selection in their respective Victoria Country squads following a highly competitive process.

All four players were recognised for their continued development and performances across games, training and pathways programs.

Many of the athletes selected in the team return for their second under-16 campaign, forming an experienced group that will supported by a strong contingent of state-level coaches and staff.

Basketball Victoria general manager of performance pathways Dom Linossier said the selections reflected a collective effort.

“We are proud of each athlete,” he said.

“Their selection is a culmination of the work of many people, their families in supporting them every step of the way, their associations in ensuring that they work to position the youth athletes at the centre of their networks, and their coaches in providing the platform and guidance for the athlete to grow.”

Geelong United’s Jude Boseley has been named as an emergency and will be called upon if required.
