GEELONG SUPERCATS star Jack White is living every basketballer’s dream following the announcement he was signed to the Denver Nuggets in the NBA.

Former Supercats head coach Justin Schueller is one of many to praise the hard work White has put in after witnessing it first-hand.

“Once the signing came to fruition, we had a chance to speak and my piece of advice to him was to just keep being Jack White,” Schueller said.

“One of the remarkable things about Jack is the person he is off the floor and that will go a long way in continuing his success.”

White’s stint with the Supercats lasted more than two seasons, but he only had playing time in four games due to injury.

He averaged 20 points and 12.5 rebounds per game while shooting 47 per cent from the field in that time.

Schueller has had his fingerprints on previous Australian NBA players such as Joe Ingles, Dante Exum and Jock Landale. He said all three had an exceptional work ethic and White was no different.

“To see his growth over time has been outstanding,” Schueller said.

“A major focus for us at Geelong and Melbourne United has been to get Jack ready for NBL, Boomers and Summer Camp opportunities.

“So to see what Jack has accomplished here is awesome.”

White’s two-way contract will see him bounce between Denver’s NBA and G-League teams for the 2022/23 season.
