Vision Australia is back into full swing for 2024

February 9, 2024 BY

Zoom and phone groups are also available.

JANUARY has seen the resumption of services for Vision Australia’s clients and our social inclusion recreation groups are up and running.

Our groups provide entertainment, outings, activities, as well as friendship amongst the blind and low vision community.

For our senior clients they provide social contact with others who are dealing with similar problems who can discuss and spend time nutting out, at times, very innovative solutions.

As well as our recreation and zoom/phone groups, Vision Australia offers services such as orthoptic, which helps with magnification and lighting, occupational therapy which introduces aids and equipment to help keep clients safe within their home or their room if in care, and orientation and mobility to help them out and about within the community and provide the tools to keep them safe while there.

Vision Australia offers a range of social inclusion recreation groups and activities.

Our home care package team facilitate home care packages, enabling clients to remain independent in their own homes for longer.

Vision Store provides a wide range of aids and equipment and is open 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Our assistive tech team help clients use this equipment to continue their lives as independently as possible.

We are the practical side of our clients’ journey dealing with loss of vision.

We work closely with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other medical practitioners to make sure our services and equipment are tailored to individual needs.

Our office can be contacted on 5445 5700. Any questions, give us a call.

Referrals can be made either by phone, online or through your medical practitioners.

Visit visionaustralia.org for more information or to browse our equipment catalogues.
