AFTER what seems an awfully long gap between event, the Maiden Gully Progress Association is retuning with their annual Christmas Carols.

Set for Sunday, 4 December between 5p and 7pm the event will be in full voice at the Maiden Gully Recreation Reserve on Beckhams Road.

Association treasurer James Proctor said could not be more pleased that the Maiden Gully community can come together to celebrate this special time of year.

“There is fantastic local entertainment including bands, carol singers, Marist Brass Band, Maiden Gully Primary School choir and other local performers,” he said

“Bendigo’s Triple M Cogho and Kylie will be hosting the event.”

The Lions Club will be on hand for the barbecue, with drinks snacks and ice creams as well as other food vans as well.

Attendees are encouraged to come early to find a good spot on the oval for a picnic or purchase food from the outlets.

With over 1000 people expected to attend Mr Proctor suggests that those living close by take advantage of the summer weather and walk, as parking will be available in the streets around the rec reserve but limited.

The Maiden Gully Christmas carols is a family friendly event, so why not bring your neighbours to enjoy some time together, to join in singing traditional carols.

The event is backed by Birchgrove Property Group, Jenny’s Early Learning Centre and volunteer run.
