Raising funds and having fun!
DANCERS at Z Fit Studios are using their talents to help raise money for children during this year’s Dance For Sick Kids Campaign, an initiative of Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia.
The weeklong challenge falls during National Families Week and Z Fit Studios CEO Dave Chauhan said joining the charitable cause was an easy choice for him and the team as it was close to their heart.
“Dance is the core of what we do and anything that’s related to human welfare is something that motivates us,” he said. “It’s so close to who we are and what we do.
“What we believe is that our values and our responsibility towards a society that we live in, they are essential.
“We’ll be running classes and some special workshops during this period which will be free for everyone to join and all we’ll be asking is they donate whatever they want towards the campaign.”
Keen feet can hit the dance floor or swing from the ceiling at one of the company’s three studio locations in Golden Square, or those with two left feet can instead choose to sponsor dancers like 15-year-old Academy of Dance student Maddi Capuano.
“I will be dancing for an hour a day every day for a week,” she said.
“I’m very passionate about [the campaign] because a few of my friends, their relatives have been sick, so I think being able to support that with my talent is very important.”
Spaces in workshops to suit all ages can be booked at zfitstudios.com.au/workshops and donations can be made directly to danceforsickkids.com/fundraisers/zfitstudioscommunity.
