BENDIGO Telco has made another information technology acquisition, purchasing Bolton’s Office National’s IT managed services.

The subsidiary is part of the Bolton’s Office Supplies business which has operated in Bendigo since 1885.

Bendigo Telco managing director Kevin Dole said the acquisition is along the same lines as company’s MGR deal in May.

“Part of our growth strategy is to strengthen our existing IT offerings which work hand in hand with the telecommunications services we provide,” he said.

“The MGR acquisition earlier this year has been most successful, and we know that Bolton’s customers will also benefit from the expanded offering we can provide.”

General manager of Bolton’s Office National, Rod McCredden, said partnering with Telco is important for the future of its IT support.

“We feel this new partnership will help to take us and our customers to a whole new level,” he said.

“The challenges in this industry are growing day by day, and IT techs can’t be everything to everyone anymore, they need to be across specialist areas to provide good support to customers.

“As the industry becomes more complex, being covered in specialist areas like cyber security is critical for every business operator.

“To ensure the level of support required in IT Services for the future we believe partnering with Bendigo Telco enables our customers to get this support.”

Telco operates offices in Bendigo, Ballarat, Hobart, Launceston, and Geelong and recently opened a customer experience centre in Pall Mall, opposite the fountain.
